The Designated Safeguarding Leads Network is a group of colleagues working in schools and academies in the local area.

Schedule of  meetings for 2017/18

All meetings are 8.45 am arrival and refreshments for a 9.00 am start. Invitation to the meeting will be sent by email with the agenda prior to each meeting.

  • Tuesday 22nd May 2018, 9.00 am-1.00 pm; Venue: tba. Registration available from 1st May 2018.
  • The proposed dates for 2018/19 are: Wednesday 10th October 2018, Tuesday 12th February 2019 and Tuesday 21st May 2019.

Attendance at two DSL meetings out of three can be certificated as evidence of Safeguarding Policy Update training. Please make sure you sign in at each event. The certificate can be obtained by e-mailing with the dates of the meetings you attended.

Designated Safeguarding Leads in Schools -Next Day Notification (Project Encompass)

The next day notification to schools started on Monday 5th December. This is to inform the DSL (or named contact) that the day before a child has witnessed a Domestic Abuse incident which the police attended.
